Here is a great project that we were involved with last fall. The Seven Hills School was working on a donor wall and they called Sequoia Sign & Graphics to help. As you can imagine, the wall is designed to recognize donors to the school, but it also serves as tribute to the school and many of its staff.
The Seven Hills School is a small non-profit school located at the end of Heather Farms Park in Walnut Creek. They have students from pre-school to 8th grade and any trip to the campus will tell you it is a happy place. We have worked with them on several projects and always find the staff and faculty to be delightful.
This past fall, Seven Hills was in the final stages of a new donor wall. The centerpiece is a beautiful mosaic of the school logo. The school had a plan to surround the mosaic with different size bronze plaques. There were three sizes carefully organized to add contrast and beauty. Many of the plaques contain famous quotes and words of thanks to the school and their faculty. The designer asked for two different styles: some have brushed aluminum faces with black etched lettering, others are cast aluminum plaques with raised lettering on a green field. The combination is really eye-catching!
When the school contacted us, our job was to make sure that we could produce what amounted to roughly 50 plaques and to do so in a short time span. Readers of this blog know we love challenges so, of course, we jumped at the opportunity. We worked quickly with the school (who also had plenty of work collecting and proofing each of these messages!) and were able to deliver everything on time.
The school was also gracious enough to invite us to the unveiling which was quite spectacular. Here is a quick video the unveiling:
