Here is a great example of an exterior sign that conforms to a master sign plan while still displaying the elegance of the tenant! Vanda Thai is a great new Thai restaurant in Walnut Creek and they came to us looking for help with their signage. They are located at 1250 Newell Avenue and the location has pre-approved sign requirements. This means our options were limited, but not our style. We needed to remove the previous tenant’s sign and replace it with a new one which beautifully announces “Vanda Thai”
This type of sign is called “push through acrylic” and it is really just a type of sign face which covers a long light box. The face is painted aluminum with lettering routed out. Then we create acrylic letters that literally “push through” the back of the aluminum sign face and pop out on the display side. To finish things off, we apply translucent vinyl to the letter face so that it shows up well during the day, and light shines through it at night.
If you are looking for Thai food in Walnut Creek- you should definitely visit the team at Vanda Thai. They have a terrific menu and great portions. One of the best parts about our work with Vanda Thai is that we had the chance to order from them several times! While you are there, take a look at their new signage. It really looks great.
If you are in need of “push though acrylic” signage, or any other type of exterior signage- give us a call. We would love to visit you for a free site-survey and help you identify the correct signage for your needs. We are located on the border of Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill & Concord so can easily serve any location in the East Bay (& beyond)
