Channel letters are a very popular way to announce a store’s presence. At Sequoia Signs & Graphics, we only produce the highest quality channel letters. They come in many shapes, sizes, materials and we love to help our clients find the best ones for their use. One of the reasons we love channel lettering is because of they stand out both day and night. Especially because of the reverse lit letters which creates a halo effect around each of the letters. We take the time to interview our clients and discuss the possibilities to help them stand out from the crowd.
We recently had the chance to help Vitality Bowls with their channel letters at the Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton.
Vitality Bowls is a growing chain of restaurants that produce great food that is super healthy. They are called a “superfood café ” because they make wonderful Acai Bowls using fresh ingredients and the antioxidant rich acai berry. If you get a chance, stop in one of their locations. I recommend the Dragon Bowl!
As you can see in the accompanying photo, Vitality Bowls decided to go with halo-lit channel letters at the Stoneridge Mall. These are also called ‘back lit’ letters. The idea is that the L.E.D.s are inside and shine through a clear piece of plexiglass at the back of the letters. The light then bounces off the wall and produces a cool ‘halo’ effect around the sign. The letters themselves were handcrafted and painted to match the Vitality Bowls logo. And here’s a little touch that only a sign-guy would notice: Each of these letters requires a UL certification label. At Sequoia Signs & Graphics, we always make sure these labels are on surfaces facing away from the on-looker. In this case, they are on the tops of the letters so no one can see them. It may be a little thing, but it is a belief in perfection that separates Sequoia Signs & Graphics from the competition.
