Buildings have names too. At Sequoia Signs & Graphics, we make signs for many uses and one of our favorite recent projects was replacing the building identification signs at The Seven Hills School. It really was a simple project, but sometimes the simple can be the most rewarding.
The Seven Hills School is a great institution in Walnut Creek. They are a private school for kindergarten through 8th grade. You can find out more about them on their website: http://www.sevenhillsschool.org/index.html They are located in a great secluded location at the far end of Heather Farms Park.
As we’ve said, the building ID signs were very simple. In fact, their understatement is what makes them so elegant. We would like to take credit for this, but the school knew exactly what they wanted. We used simple white lettering on a hunter green field (the school’s color) The signs themselves are made of ½” flat cut aluminum with stud mounts in the rear. Mounting the sign from behind allowed us to hide hardware. Initially, we had considered using fabricated metal boxes but in the end, the school chose to use the solid pieces.
In the attached photos, you can see how the signs are quite attractive as well as functional. This is signal of a great sign.
Whether we are doing building signs, channel letter signs, a vehicle wrap or even a simple banner, our goal is always to create EFFECTIVE signage.
At Sequoia Signs & Graphics, we take our clients goals very seriously. Our designers work with each client to develop effective signage and our shop team is always helpful with substrate and mounting options.
